Marmaduke...Well ummm no.....

Some movies are truly just meant for the kiddies and not for adults & kiddies. Marmaduke, was a prime example of that. Now I did go in thinking I just might enjoy this movie, because there are cases when it appears to be a kid film but turns out to work in the favor of both kids and adults (Shrek, Toy Story, etc.).

While this movie may hold the attention of children for the most part, the [people] acting was bad and fairly painful to watch. There were a few cute moments but it shot and missed far more times than they actually got a good laugh over. It was definitely overworked and as a result it became way to cheesy for a family drama, there was not enough funny or goofiness. It just seemed like a movie that was put together quickly with a really small budget.

I struggle to write this review as the movie does not really give me anything to work with. A little bit of a downer but the show must go on.

Now in most cases, when trying to convert a comic strip (not a comic book) its usually in your best interest to let that one go, and try something different. The only comic strip movie that may have been a success would be Garfield, and that's a small maybe.

Kids might like it, but I doubt your average adult will...case in point...me
