"Transformer's Sequel Becomes a Top 25 PRE-SELLER!!

Despite what any critic will or ha said the Transformers sequel has become a surefire success at the box office a day before the film was released -- it's already among the top 25 pre-sellers of all time.

Top movie-theater booking site "MovieTickets.com" reports that more than 600 performances of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have already sold out, including 274 midnight showings!!

The film has alreadyknocked out the original 2007 Transformers from the top 25 list. According to "MovieTickets.com" executive vice president Joel Cohen tells WENN, "So much for being robots in disguise; Transformers 2 is sure to be one of our highest-grossing and most visible openers in 2009."

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King top the list of pre-sellers, ahead of The Dark Knight, Twilight and Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. All the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings films make the top 25 on the list, as do the two Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, Spider-Man 3 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

And seeing the above list all of these were successes if not BLOCKBUSTERS!!

BIGGER and BETTER!! WOW!!

OMG!! To all those haters and critics I see what Michael Bay was talking about. This movie was pure off the chain entertainment!! I was not disappointed at all with the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, matter fact I am still on a cloud "20" from all the action and excitement!! (just imagine chill bumps slowly forming) Bay most definitely is truly showcasing his skills as a director, regardless to what all those haters have to say! They can kick rocks...lol!!

First let me start out by saying that I like how the beginning starts it gives a nice little background prelude to get the ball rolling. It depicts primitive human beings in the year 17,000 BC hunting a tiger, only to be interrupted by the appearance of "the Fallen" which begins to attack them. And if you peep close enough you will see more Transformers constructing a gigantic device before the scene fades to black. There is a constant flow of events with this movie and the fact that the characters are consistent from the previous one just makes it all the better (with a few new additions)!! All of those characteristics help for the viewer to also have a better understanding of the Transformers.

Keep in mind this is a continuation so it very important to pay close to small details throughout because you could very well miss something!! The connection between the Autobots and the humans is somewhat tested in this film to the point where Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf)must become somewhat of an ambassador to maintain the alliance, even when he doesn't want to. But its even more interesting to see how they are able to tie in Sam going off to college shows his true fate of what he must do, in a sense its like a wake-up call....."What if we leave and you are wrong?" (Optimus Prime to the military) The humans plus the Autobots must set their priorities so that neither destroys the other. There is a sense of pride that is given off that must be kept to a minimum in order to save the lives of the world. And if they don't "the fallen" shall rise again (hence the title).

Man oh man...I still can't believe how AWESOME it was, and to think this might be Bay's last Transformer film. I'm not even going to spoil it for you, you just gotta go and see it!!

Now granted I know you think I will say that this film is perfect, but every movie has its flaws, however the positive did outweigh the negative. One slight problem that I had was that the Devastator/Constructicons really did not have an introduction, moreless they just kind of appeared. But this does not take away from the fact that you can kind of assume their role. The fight scenes in this are crazy ridiculous and brilliant all at the same time!! (At moments you try to figue out who is who, however... Much intensity is shown!!) With this film there is no doubt that it raises the bar yet again for CGI, for me it felt somewhat lifelike (especially if you go to see it in the IMAX). Another thing that I liked about TROTF, was that it was still able to retain the humor from the first one without it going overboard. With the addition of some funny autobots it just adds to the laughter. And lest I not forget the sound simply put, incredible. One might say its much better than the first film. Basically the movie will speak for itself!! And the writers (Orci, Kurtzman, and Kruger) definitely elevated the bar of what it takes to create a outstanding film.

After watching this film I realized you get exactly what you should expect. Bay gave it to me and some!!! With movies like this "they let you enter into a state of imagination where the impossible becomes possible and the stressful becomes enjoyable." It was more than just the action, this was a movie of epic proportions. This was definitely an upgrade, I mean there were so many stunts I was blown out of my seat. It almost seems that over time the Transformers got quicker, because the movements were so fluid....wow!!!

In the end with the proclamation from Optimus, the Transformers and humans really do share an untold history and will need to combine their differences for the greater good. Now the one question remains should locked in my mind should Megatron OR Optimus Prime have been resurrected....hmmmm you be the judge on that one.

Rewind Wednesday: Transformers Style!!

Well today's Rewind Wednesday is going to be a little different. Normally the films that we cover are 10 yrs or older, but in this case we're going to switch it up. Since today is the nationwide opening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, I'd figure I would give you a throwback review of the first Transformers. This will give you the opportunity to catch up and get pumped for the new one.

So here we go!!

Transformers: The Movie

What more can one say about the Fourth of July! As an avid movie-goer, I was excited about the holiday weekend and the movies that were in store! Probably the number one movie on my list and many others was that of Transformers.

Directed by Michael Bay, who has wowed us with several movies this year and in the past, one would not be disappointed after catching this flick! The first initial two minutes grabs your attention to the point to where you have no choice but to enjoy the rest of the movie!

As many know the film is based on the 1986 cartoon, in which two races of robotic aliens the Autobots and the Decepticons are in constant battle of the fate of the universe. There was a time when the battle was outside of the Earth's realms, but the battle has made its way to our planet. And now the humans are faced with trying to survive in the midst of a "tug of war" battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Throughout the movie we are able to see various storylines that still bring us to one universal theme of being able to sacrifice to receive victory! There is even a lesson of sometimes those in significant power can stand to use a little assistance from those of little power. And one lesson that I cannot forget would be that of sometimes we don't choose our destiny, but our destiny is chosen for us; but it is up to the individual to master it.

I admired the fact that the movie was able to maintain its original form still adding that touch of modernism. The special effects had me sitting at the edge of my seat with my EYES WIDE OPEN and mouth in awe! Your heart will be racing and blood pumping in full effect. Just watching the actual transformation of the cars to robots makes me wonder, "could my car do that?"....lol! The personalities of the robots also gives an entertaining effect as well.

Let me not also forget the humans that took part in the movie as well...lol! With actors such as Shia Labeouf (Disturbia), Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, Anthony Anderson, Josh Duhamel, Meagan Fox, and John Turturro there plenty of room for a little piece of every piece of the theatrical pie. Each actor and actress played a role that provides the audience with a better grasp of the storyline.

I could describe this movie in two simple words, "Pure Action"! After leaving the movie, I realized that even the cartoons of the 80's can stand the test of time today in the new millenium! I can assure that not only did the cars transform but the dollars will be too! Cha-Ching!!

New Movie to look for in 2010!

As I was Twittering I happen to stumble upon a Tweet from one of the folks that I have been following, F. Gary Gray. So I figured why not show some film love and give you some scoop about his new film Law Abiding Citizen set to release in March 2010.

An everyday guy decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family's killers free. His target: The district attorney who orchestrated the deal. His vengeance threatens not only the man who allowed mercy to supersede justice, but also the system and the city that made it so.

Here are some clips and interviews of the film in production:

There's a nice cast line-up as well (Gerald Butler, Jaime Foxx, Viola Davis, Michael Gambon, Leslie Bibb, Regina Hall, etc. just to name a few). This should be an interesting film.

Stay tuned!!

This may be Bay's last Transformer film!!

Say it ain't so...this summer's anticipated Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen could be Michael Bay's last Transformer flick.

Michael Bay has made his last Transformers movie -- the director is set to quit the action franchise because he has "had enough" of making big-budget blockbusters. The filmmaker helmed the original 2007 movie and returned this year with its sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Bay, who is known for his explosive action sequences, is sick of receiving negative reviews from critics who dislike his movie-making style and is determined to move away from the genre.

He says, "It's easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers. They (the critics) review me before they've even seen the movie."

And Bay admits that if film bosses give the go ahead for a third Transformers movie, they will have to find a different director. He adds, "After the three and a half years I've spent making these movies, I feel like I've had enough of the Transformers world. "I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions."

Just maybe he might have a change of heart after he see's how successful this movie will be this summer. But hey I understand, you gotta do what ya gotta do to have your happiness.

Rewind Wednesday: Father's Day Edition

With Father's Day coming around the corner, I figure why not pay tribute to the men in our lives who have played an essential part in our growth as young women and men of today. And why not showcase a great film with a tribute to all the father's out there. Father of the Bride, was the first thing that popped into my head for a couple of reasons of course the obvious 'father's day" and the fact that this is wedding season and there are a lot of father's who are walking their daughters down the aisle.

George Banks (Steve Martin) is an upper-middle-class owner of an athletic shoe company in San Marino, California, whose 22-year-old daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams) has decided to marry a man (George Newbern) from an upper-class family from Bel-Air, despite knowing each other only three months. George can't think of what life would be like without his daughter and becomes slightly insane (especially when he finds out the wedding will cost over $100,000), although his wife (Diane Keaton) tries to make him happy for Annie. When the wedding takes place at their home, along with a foreign wedding planner named Franck (Martin Short) taking over the ceremony, George tries to handle the fact that his daughter has grown up and has a life of her own.

This hilarious 1991 comedy movie is about the relationship of an over-possessive father who just can't seem to let his daughter go when she decides to get married. A light-hearted entertainer, this amazing movie explores different issues that is associated with parenthood, family interaction, marriage etc. The movie manages successfully to capture the thoughts of a worried father.

All in all this is a heart warming film that will make you laugh and cry all at the same!!

Here is a clip to get the laughter going:

A Knockout of an Affair!!

Tyson is a mixture of original interviews and archival footage & photographs which would shed light on the life experiences of Mike Tyson

The best parts of this film are the fact that Mike actually confesses his origins so that we can truly see the "real him". In the film, Mike Tyson woul deny the allegations that led to his rape conviction in 1991, but would admit to "taking advantage of other women".

The first thing that stands out is the cinematography, true excellence; it was as though it was probably shot within a few days, but the editing is just so smooth and clear cut. There is so great footage that is was more than just boxing matches, it was an experience. We get to see Tyson from age 14 to present, all his training, living, the court cases, and his family, so much to engulf. He truly shows an honest side of who is, no jokes just the real deal.

Many might say if they had to choose one word to describe Tyson it would be "empathy". Prior to this movie I will say that I saw Mike Tyson as true "nut". Crazy behind his own will. basically he was like another professional athlete with a lunatic mentality. And grant it not much has changed AT ALL, but now we had an explanation of why he was they way he was. I was now able to have a better understanding of this man that they called a "monster". And when it all boils down you can't really blame him too much for his outcome.

It was publicly screened for the first time at the 2008 Cannes film festival and then hit select theaters nationwide in April 2009.

If you get the chance to see it please do!! You will definitely have spent your money wisely!!

First Glance of Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela

Invictus, about Mandela's attempts to unite a post-apartheid South Africa through the power of rugby, comes out Dec. 11 2009. Clearly Mr. freeman is the only person I can think of that would fit this role to a tee.

Clint Eastwood will be directing the film as well as Matt Damon starring alongside Freeman.

"You're my freakin' hero...!"

What more can I say about this movie?!! Excellent, Great, Magnificent!! The Taking of Pelham 123 has definitely become one of the great Summer 2009 films.

This Tony Scott film remake will take you on a high- pace roller coaster ride sure to have you on the edge of your seat. From beginning to end we take a journey between subway dispatcher Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) and former "Wall Street high roller" turned high-jacker Ryder. Grant it yes we have all seen the typical hostage-negotiation/ransom plea, but this is more than that, there is more flair and excitement and even a bit of mystery to boot. It definitely keeps you focused on the screen from the minute that it starts. I realized that for a good part of the movie I was filled with humor from Travolta's character and his interactions amongst everyone else in the movie. Nonetheless the directing and the acting were grand but then again should I have expected any less.

The chemistry between Washington and Travolta was so natural it was unreal. These two actors meshed so well it was unbelievable. In addition to the supporting cast which included Luis Guizman, John Turturro, and James Gandolfini, you are definitely in for a treat among treats. This movie has the perfect combination of plot, character development, scene graphics, and intensity. I must admit I am not a Travolta except for Pulp Fiction and Face/Off, but he does his thang with this movie. He makes me believe in him with this role as Ryder, his anger and Garber's determination sealed the deal. However the use of the word (M-F) was definitely overused, but I guess that was his extra flair that he added to this version.

This movie does everything that one should expect in two hours engage, entertain, and satisfy. And in some ways it will make you think, "Will I ever ride the NYC subways the same way as in he past?" Maybe or Maybe Not...

"Just make sure you bring home a gallon of milk!!

Rewind Wednesday: Benny & Joon

Well today's Rewind Wednesday brings me back to my days in middle school at Jefferson M.S. in Champaign, IL.

Benny & Joon is a 1993 romantic comedy about how two misfits, Sam (Johnny Depp) and Juniper/Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson), find each other and fall in love. The film would perhaps showcase Depp's humorous physical comedy routines and also popularize the U.S. song "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers.

When watching this film you begin to understand the meaning of love, and that no matter who you are you can still have it. Regardless of your personality or who you are in society, to just be able to be carefree about life sometimes make things so much easier.

In Benny & Joon we are able to see another side of many of the charcters, especially Johnny Depp which to a degree is unexpected. A more softer side is shown through his character of Sam. This movie shows a very sweet, innocent side of him which is rarely seen elsewhere. Even Aidan Quinn was just right in his role of Benny, restrained and compassionate, with just the right amount of yearning to be free. All in all, it seemed that each actor/actress was able to play their role to no avail.

This is one of those movies that just makes you feel good inside and out. A true sweet and heartwarming tale of love. And in addition to that, it would have such a priceless ending with Benny going over to Ruthies with an armful of roses, and Joon and Sam in their apartment together making grilled cheese sandwiches with a clothes iron.

Spiderman 4 Rumors put to rest...

According to New York Post, Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, Spider-Man 4 as told by producer Todd Black.

The star will rejoin director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker's love interest in the latest installment in the popular superhero franchise, which is slated for May 6, 2011.

However, don't expect wedding bells for Mary Jane and Peter - Black told the newspaper that he was unaware of such a subplot. At the close of "Spider-Man 3," the two had an emotional - but ambiguous - reunion after the film's events drove the lovers apart. Additionally, Black hinted at the film's villain, shooting down online rumors that pegged comic book character Morbius the Living Vampire as the latest member of Spidey's rogue gallery.

Instead, the producer told the Post that the villain had a significant connection to the Big Apple.
"We're just coming up with who the villain is now," he said. "We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."
Hope this goes in a better direction than the last installment.

Rourke Gives Scoop on Iron Man 2

A recent interview with Mickey Rourke by The Guardian paper reveals a bit about his 'Iron Man 2' role. It appears as though the character is named Ivan, thus Rourke is trying to make the Russian nemesis as authentic as possible.

"I decided to do half my role in Russian," Rourke told The Guardian, "and that's hard because the Russian language doesn't roll off the English-speaking tongue very easily. I spent three hours a day with a teacher, and after two weeks I know four sentences!

Rourke also closed the door on speculation that he might somehow end up as a villain in the next 'Spider-Man' movie. "I'm not big on formula movies. I don't like all that Spider-Man shit." So who might the 'Spider-Man 4' villain be?...

Well I guess he told you....lol

The Hangover...Fulfilled my Summer Laughs!!

Just think about all of these films Road Trip, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch well director Todd Phillips added another to his repetoire The Hangover, and its a doozy. This 2009 comedy is sure to bring you to your knees crying tears of joy. Can you imagine taking a trip to Las vegas and just losing your mind to the point where YOU HAVE NO IDEA what went down. Then you gotta see this movie.

I must say I was impressed with this film! This movie fulfilled its purpose and some! I knew coming into this movie that I was going to laugh, but I got way more entertainment than I had anticipated. This movie goes right up there with films like Pineapple Express, Forgetting Sarah marshall, Superbad, Step Brothers, and many more. Each of these were undoubtbly hilarious and funny.

As you watch the film each scene just adds a piece to the puzzle that we will later figure towards the end. You can't help but sit there with your mouth wide open because you can't believe what just happened. If it isnt a tiger in loose in the bathroom, blow-up dolls in the tub, missing teeth, or a mysterious baby showing up you can't help but wonder, "what can happen next?" LOL!! And to top it off you get to see Mike Tyson throw a knockout punch while singing "In the Air Tonight"...Just priceless!!

And just think Roger Ebert had a field day with it, "Now this is what I'm talkin' about. The Hangover is a funny movie, flat out, all the way through. Its setup is funny. Every situation is funny. Most of the dialogue is funny almost line by line."

And to think the plot was inspired by a real-life event that happened to Tripp Vinson, a producer friend of The Hangover executive producer Chris Bender. Vinson had gone missing from his own Vegas bachelor party, blacking out and waking up "in a strip club being threatened with a very, very large bill [he] was supposed to pay".

Please believe there are enough one-liners to quote all summer, and enough subtle jokes to laugh about later on that you didn't catch the first time. And keep this in mind when watching the ending, if you enjoyed Old School then this ending will be priceless!

Informing the Masses of the Gullah/Geechee Nation!!

Now you all know I am all about informing the masses of anything whether big or small!! And I just had to take a moment and recognize the culture and the people of the Gullah/Geechee Nation!! Check this out!

We salute Brother David who had the insight to begin this documentary to tell the story of accurate connections and derivations of our culture. The people of St. Helena Island are still holding on to the land and the culture. St. Helena Island still has a Cultural Protection Overlay District as part of the zoning standards for Beaufort County. Queen Quet served as the chair of the committee that fought for that protection along with the elders of the community. She is part of this film along with many family members of St. Helena in the heart of the Gullah/Geechee Nation.

Hmmm... I think I got lost in the "Land of Lost"

So I figured why not go and check out this remake that was so popular in the 70's maybe get a laugh or two, basically go to get entertained.I will have to say that it started off good and in a catchy way. I would say that the first 15-20 minutes of it was not super-grand but it decent. Then from the 17 min mark Will Ferrell started pretending like he is funny. Why pretend you should be able to do that naturally, well at least in the past you have....lol

Based on the classic television series created by Sid and Marty Krofft, “Land of the Lost” features classic characters, playful performances and plenty of surprises. Marshall’s research assistant Holly (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Danny McBride) named Will round out the trio of unlikely explorers chased by T. Rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestak.

And to think their only ally—a primate named Chaka (Jorma Taccone)—will have to help them navigate and escape through the hybrid dimension before they become permanent refugees in the “Land of the Lost.” This movie was one of those that causes pain that is almost unforgivable. Considering the budget used to create this film, it was like pulling teeth to get through it all the way. And because if I paid money to see it I'm not walking out, I guess i was just trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. Wrong choice! I think I expected to be rolling in my seat with laughter and unfortunately that was not the case. As far as characters go their is basically Dr. Rick Marshall and his three sidekicks (the good ol' boy survivalist, the eye-candy groupie, and the boy-faced ape man). You try to laugh at the jokes and the occasional slip of the curse word but it just doesn't cut it.... (sad face!!)

All I can say is that some remakes should be left alone and this is one of them. In its defense I will say that the movie serves more as a parody of the original TV series, versus a direct remake of the show.

Remembering David Carradine...RIP

How many of you remember 'Kung Fu' and the Kill Bill movies?!!

Well 'Kung Fu' movie legend David Carradine, who recently revamped his career in Quentin Tarantino's 'Kill Bill' movies, has died at the age of 72.

Carradine was found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok, where he was set to shoot a new movie titled Stretch. The Nation newspaper, citing Thai police sources, is reporting that Carradine was found hanged in his hotel closet and that it may have been a suicide. There's been no other confirmation of that report so far, and Carradine's agent told KABC that he believed the actor died of natural causes.

Thai police also told the BBC that Carradine was found by a hotel maid "with a rope around his neck and body." The Nation report claims that a preliminary police investigation found that Carradine hanged himself with a curtain cord, and that he was dead for at least 12 hours when he was found. The report also states that there were no signs of assault or foul play.

Carradine's career is a vast one, with over 200 movies and TV shows to his credit, including the hit '70s show 'Kung Fu' and years later, more than 80 episodes of 'Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.' His breakout film role came in 1976, when he played Woody Guthrie in the biopic Bound for Glory.

Many of the younger fans will probably know him as title character 'Bill' in Tarantino's 2003-04 Kill Bill movies, where he played the leader of a group of assassins and was eventually killed by one of his own disciples. Carradine also dabbled in production and directing, and had roles in many television commercials.

To hit theaters June 18th, 2010.

Guest Blogger!!

Well as promised I got some new blood that I wanted to present to you guys. I want to thank you all for your constant feedback it is so appreciative. So that is why today I am letting the fans have their say in some of the films that have hit the theaters. Today's special guest is that of Carsin Daily you can find more about Carsin and his blog at the following site: http://www.carsindaily.blogspot.com/

My first guest blog post over here at the great movie review site better known as G-Breezy's Director's Cut and I get to share my two cents on the movie Paul Blart, Mall Cop... what a joy folks, but I can't be bitter, because I picked the movie. Ha!

What can I say about this 'Mall Cop' movie? As with most movies that come out to a lot of undeserved fan fare, 'Mall Cop' was touted as "Funniest Movie of the Year", which is practically impossible to predict in January, but whatever. While an entertaining movie, I am glad that I didn't spend my hard-earned $10 to see the movie when it opened early this year.
An Adam Sandler film, comedian Kevin James stars as a mall cop (Paul Blart) who is essentially seen as a loser who takes his "paper cop" job too seriously for comfort. Living at home with his proud mother and daughter, it is obvious that Blart has no love life and seeks to find so via the world wide web. When his chances of love on the net and elsewhere in society begin to look bleek, Blart gravitates towards a cutie pie who sells wigs at a kiosk in the mall he guards. Blart really likes this gal, but has to compete for her affection with a jackass who manages a pen kiosk in the same mall. While love is trying to find its way in the air, a new recruit to the mall cop team ends up being a mastermind behind the overtaking of Blarts mall. This mastermind and his skating culprits take the mall and several of it's workers (including Blart's love interest) hostage in what's supposed to be a robbery based on sophisticated "night light" merchant reading. Blart is the only cop left inside the mall with the culprits of the crime and begins to take them on when he finds out that his love interest and his daughter (she becomes a hostage later on in the movie by accident) are two of the hostages. With a very improvised way of fighting crime, Blart takes back his mall and you actually find yourself getting into the movie and rooting for him as he takes on the main culprit who he believed to be a recruit who was as passionate about being a mall cop as he was. There is a crazy twist towards the end of the movie and though predictable, it did add a bit of extra action to the story. In the end, Blart wins the affection of his love interest and gets the respect of his fellow mall coppers.

I Red Box'd this flick just two weeks ago and while very much predictable, the movie showcased a half-way good plot that was executed well enough to keep your attention and make you LOL every now and then. This is the typical movie that plays on the stereotypical "loser" guy that wants to befriend a beautiful woman and in the end he gets her based on some act of heroism, so it is the type of movie that most of us have already either seen before or will already know how it will play out in the end.

This was not a torturous piece of work and it was entertaining, but for some (including myself), seeing it once will suffice. If you are looking for a cheap laugh, then Paul Blart Mall Cop is worth the rent.

Shia LaBeouf will be the latest beagle in John Grisham's film

Well they say..."What John Grisham wants, John Grisham gets." The author was pulling for Shia LaBeouf to sign on to his latest novel-turned-movie, The Associate, and he got his wish. "I think he'll be wonderful!" Grisham gushes. "He's a very talented actor, and he's hot. He's the hottest 22-year-old actor in America, and I think he'll do a wonderful job."

Lucky LaBeouf will join the ranks of Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey and Kiefer Sutherland, who've all appeared in flicks based on Grisham novels.

Taking a Bite out of the Movies...

If you watched the 2009 MTV Movie Awards (5/31/09)then you have already seen this amazing trailer clip of the new movie in the Twilight series...New Moon.

Halle to star in new Thriller...Is it a comeback?

Berry will star in director Paul Verhoeven's new film, The Surrogate, which revolves around a couple who hire a surrogate to carry their child and find out mid-term that she's mad, reported contactmusic.com.

The project will mark Berry's first film since 2007's Perfect Stranger, in which she starred opposite Bruce Willis.

I guess she feels ready to come back to the big screen. Good for her!
