Transporter 3

This time the rules are the same...Except one...Do not step away from the vehicle.

All I can say about this film is that its ACTION JAMMED-PACK!! Director Olivier Megaton did an excellent job with the third installment of the Transporter film series. Both Jason Statham and Francois Berleand reprised their roles, as Frank Martin and Inspector Tarconi, respectively.

Once again, Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has been pressured into transporting another "package", Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) but there is a bit of a twist both of them have a device (attached to their wrist) which prevents them from moving 75 feet from the car or a bomb attached to them will explode. Keeping in mind Valentina who is the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbe), the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for Ukraine, must be transported from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea.

On his journey of course he is assisted with the help of Inspector Tarconi (Francois Berleand), Frank has to contend with the people who strong armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Frank has now reached a whole new level of transporting. And of course we have to have some soft scene, it would only be right!! Now despite Valentina's cynical disposition and Frank's resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another. Viewers can also check out Statham again driveing an armored Audi A8 W12 in the film. I wonder if Audi gets any money for the use of the car, considering this is the third time.

If action film is not your forte you need not attend this film unless you would like a change of pace. This film definitely had me on the edge of my seat, trying to figure what's next. While others may have felt it was a bit watered down, I personally think the film did an excellent job of sticking to what we know best ACTION-PACKED scenes from beginning to end!!

Grade: B+
