The film features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, James Caan, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Andy Samberg, Mr. T, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Al Roker, Lauren Graham, and Will Forte.
Well from the preview it looked pretty entertaining, but it ended up being just an "ok" movie. Nothing to shout about, just some good laughs for entertainment sake. These days I guess it is the new trend to transform children's books into film. And knowing this it makes you wonder how they were able to turn in a "slim little book" into a feature film, well they did somehow.
One thing that did give it some points was that it put a true effort to make it appealing to both kids and adults. In my opinion maybe if it was more for the child it might have turned out better. I will say this I'm sure the book will be flying off of bookshelves since the movie has come out.
I will say this, I definitely had to go get something to eat afterwards, one could get kind of hungry after watching a film like this one. LOL
