Well its obvious that the economy has been suffering but there is one thing for sure making movies does lose out in the battle of money. People may be broke or trying to pinch pennies, but somehow we make room to see a good movie!

According to YAHOO! Movies, they have put together the WINNERS, losers, and Surprises of this summer's movies. It has been stated that 2009 is shaping up to be the biggest box-office year of all time. The total gross to date is over $7.2 billion, up 6.7% over last year at this time.
