Private Service held for Filmaker John Hughes

On today in a private service held in Lake Forest, IL, John Hughes is being celebrated by family and friends.

The director of "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" died of a heart attack Thursday August 6th during a walk in Manhattan. The 59-year-old Hughes was in New York to visit family.

Many family and friends were there to support including many of his cast members/colleagues, these would include Vince Vaughn, Ben Stein and Matthew Broderick. Ben Stein would have these words to say regarding the service, "very touching" and "a lot of crying."

Such a great filmaker taken too soon. I can remember watching all of his films especially "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and thinking to myself these movies are going to be classic one day, and sure enough they are more than we can even imagine. He has definitely left a legacy for many to follow.
R.I.P. John Hughes
