Support Diversity 'Louder Than a Bomb' screening

You all know how I am about my Indie flicks, especially ones that focus on spoken word. Such a powerful story that could not go unnoticed. Well I had to make sure I posted this one for ya...Check it...

Louder Than a Bomb follows four Chicago-area high school poetry teams as they prepare for and compete in the world's largest youth slam. It's a complex and ultimately inspiring look at the community these incredible kids create through their work, with some truly exhilarating performances sprinkled throughout. And while we've found that the film connects powerfully to audiences of all ages, classes, and colors, you probably won't find a more diverse and hopeful portrait of African-American youth onscreen all year.

Louder Than a Bomb premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival in March 2010, where it won both the Roxanne T. Mueller Audience Choice Award for best film and the Greg Gund Memorial Standing Up Film Competition for films that celebrate social justice and activism.

Louder Than a Bomb  will be screening in New York and Los Angeles as part of the 2010 DocuWeeks Theatrical Documentary Showcase, which is designed to qualify films for consideration for The Academy Awards. Filmmakers Greg Jacobs and Jon Siskel will be on hand for Q&A sessions after selected screenings in both cities.
