Friday Releases 7/30/2010


Check out this weekend's movie releases:

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (PG):  
The epic struggle for control of planet Earth continues in this sequel to the 2001 comedy that had pet owners all across the world looking at their house pets in a whole new light.

Charlie St. Cloud (PG-13): 
A young man forms a unique connection to the afterlife after surviving the tragic car accident that claimed his younger brother in this supernatural drama starring Zac Efron, based on the best-selling book by author ben Sherwood. 

Dinner for Schmucks (PG-13): 
Tim (Paul Rudd) a rising executive, works for a boss who hosts a monthly event in which the guest who brings the biggest buffoon gets a career-boost.

The Dry Land (R): 
A soldier comes home from the war but can't find peace in his heart and mind in this independent drama. 

The Extra Man (R):  
A lonely writer quits his job at a Princeton prep school and sets his sights on New York, where he forges an unlikely bond with an eccentric playwright who now earns his living as an escort for wealthy Manhattan widows.

Family Affair (NR):  
In Family Affair, filmmaker Chico David Colvard takes us on a very personal and uncompromising journey, where we discover that at the age of nine he accidentally shot his sister; believing she would die from her injuries, she revealed to the mother and police that the father had sexually molested her and her sisters for years.

Get Low (PG-13): 
When much-feared hermit Felix Bush (Robert Duvall) comes to town with a wad of cash and announces his intention to preside over his own funeral, fast-talking mortician Frank Quinn (Bill Murray) smells a big payday in the air.

Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, and Rebel (R):  
Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel takes an intimate look at the outspoken, flamboyant founder of the Playboy empire. Compelling interviews with a remarkable Who’s Who of the decades, and rare footage, present a brilliant and entertaining snapshot of the life of an extraordinary man and the controversies that surrounded him.

Smash His Camera (NR): 
The film is the story of infamous New York City paparazzo Ron Galella, legendary for his restraining order from Jackie O and losing five teeth at the hands of Marlon Brando, all in the service of generating some of the most iconic and memorable celebrity photographs of the 1970s.

The Dealer (NR): 
It’s an Action Movie that revolves around a young guy who grew up in a poor family, in a struggle to overcome his poor origins goes from being a casino bookie to a drug dealer after meeting the love of his life a charming dancer.
