A Musical Genius on the Big Screen... "This is It!!"

Michael Jackson's This Is It is a 2009 American concert film documenting Michael jackson's on-stage and behind-the-scenes rehearsals of the concert series of the same name scheduled to start July 13, 2009, but was unfortunately canceled due to his death eighteen days prior on June 25.

Let me first start by saying that this is one of the best musical films created in a very long time. It truly captures the true genius and essence of "the man behind the mirror" Michael Jackson. Even if he had not passed this would be one of those films that will last a lifetime. As a "Michael Jackson" fan for life, there was no question as to whether or not I would go see this flick. By going to see this concert-film, we get the priveledge to step into Michael's world and see what really goes on his mind. The artist, the visionary, and the perfectionist is on full display for the world to see and enjoy. What a great opportunity to witness this remarkable spectacle.

For any nay-sayers out there, this film will definitely re-ignite a flame that may have been burned out. After watching this you will truly understand why he is the "greatest entertainer of all time!" Chills ran up and down my spine as I engulfed myself into the music. His craft is one that will never be duplicated. To actually be there with you ticket in hand would have probably been like an unforgettable "out of body experience".

The one great thing that I liked what they did with this film was that they focused on the high road of his most recent musical adventure. This film could have easily been a sad story but instead it kept you jamming in your seat every minute of its showing. One can appreciate the fact that the directors and production team made this film more of a performance rather than a eulogy. Between each song you got some insight into the bigger picture of the shows themselves, and sometimes you'd even get to see Michael as himself. We are so grateful to this musical genius, that it will be very difficult if not impossible to forget this legend.

This Is It, was essentially the most "fitting final performance"!! And we Thank YOU for your gift MJ!! R.I.P.
