Friday Flicks Coming Out 10/30/2009

Here is your Friday Line-Up:

Turning Green (Not rated)

The story of Michael Aimette and John G. Hofmann's Turning Green concerns a sixteen year-old American who finds himself living in Ireland with his aunts after the death of his mother. He longs for nothing more than to return to the States, but he is without the means to do so. After a trip to London brings him into contact with pornography, he gets the idea to sell it in order to raise the necessary cash. When he starts to become more successful in this endeavor than he expected, he must make a momentous decision about his life.

Looking for Palladin (Not rated)

Arrogant Hollywood talent agent, Josh Ross (David Moscow, is sent to Guatemala to find two-time Oscar winner actor Jack Palladin (Ben Gazzara). Although they’d never met, the search is emotionally complicated as the long-time retired star was once married to Josh’s late mother.

Gentleman Broncos (PG-13)

Benjamin (Michael Angarano), home-schooled by his eccentric mother (Jennifer Coolidge), is a loveable loner whose passion for writing leads him on an offbeat and hilarious journey as his story first gets ripped off by the legendary fantasy novelist, Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine Clement) and then is adapted into a disastrous movie by the small town's most prolific homespun filmmaker.

The House of the Devil (R)

Sam (Jocelin Donahue) is a pretty college sophomore, so desperate to earn some cash for a deposit on an apartment that she accepts a babysitting job even after she finds out there is no baby. Mr. and Mrs. Ulman (cult actors Noonan and Woronov) are the older couple who lure Sam out to their creeky Victorian mansion deep in the woods, just in time for a total lunar eclipse. Megan (Greta Gerwig) is Sam’s best friend, who gives her a ride out to the house, and reluctantly leaves her there despite suspecting that something is amiss. Victor (A.J. Bowen) at first seems like just a creepy guy lurking around the house, but quickly makes it clear that Sam will end this night in a bloody fight for her life...
