Week 2: September Edition

Righteous Kill (2008)

Academy Award winners Robert De Niro and Al pacino reunite together after 34 years of being in a film together (13 years, single scene in 1995's Heat). These two veteran NYPD detectives are working a a huge case of a serial killer, who they must catch before this string of murders gets out of hand and the killer strikes again. And in a weird way this serial killer seems to almost be an aid more than an hinderance, since some of the most ruthless killers are going to jail/prison.
With over 30 years of experience between between these two detectives pretty much anything that is put out there is "gospel". "Most people respect the badge, everyone respects the gun." Spoken by Turk (De Niro) in the film this gives you a simple glance on what is in store. But be careful just when you think you know the plot, that's when it gets you!! Good to the very end.
Grade: A/B+

i was definitely impressed by this movie and it indeed kept me glued to the end.

this is a great flick for anyone out there that thinks they will be able to figure things out before the end of the movie...no can do on this particular film which is full of ups and downs; twists and turns. it was definitely worth the buck.
