Did anyone ever think that there would be a film starring both Denzel Washington and Will Smith side-by-side? Well it looks like it is already in motion! It's just about every African American actor/actress to work with the legendary Denzel Washington whether young or old. The project that could possibly star these two mega actors is that of a remake of the 1974 film Uptown Saturday Night. And according to some rumors it has been in development since 2002, around the same time Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment first purchased the rights.
The original film starred Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby, and revolved around two friends who must figure out a way to retrieve a wallet that was stolen from them at a nightclub, considering there is a winning lottery ticket inside.
Now when Smith first picked up the rights there was talk of including Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence, and this may still be the case. Either way if it all works out this will definitely be one to remember!
