Throwback Thursday: Teen Wolf

You know there are movies and then there are great movies that you will always remember, well today's Throwback Thursday flick is the latter. Teen Wolf is an American film starring Michael J. Fox as Scott Howard, a high school student who discovers that his family has an unusual pedigree when he finds himself transforming into a werewolf.

"He always wanted to be special...but he never expected this!"

This is one of those films that you could watch on a Saturday night and laugh like its the first time you are watching it. As a matter fact it came on tv just recently, and I was truly blown away by how many of my friends and family were watching it on tv as well!

Michael J. Fox represents the tragedy that has befallen all youth in high school: the lack of acceptance. When you really look at this movies it shows more than a comedy about someone's personal difference, its more of a telling commentary on high school and how cruel it can be. The soundtrack alone is like a holy grail item, and for some like myself its a personal classic. Nostalgia definitely has something to do with its appeal, also the fact that it's a much-underrated comedy full of inspiration, silliness, and likable characters. This movie is a must see for teens and adults alike. Anyone who likes seeing the good guys triumph and has a soft spot for regular joes getting the girl and achieving greatness will appreciate this.

"When your shooting for the moon and finally make it. I guess a lucky star is shining on you. The candle on the cake is yours so take it, make another wish it's sure to come true. Isn't that the way you do it? Maybe I could do it to..."-Amy Holland, Shooting For The Moon, Teen Wolf main theme song, 1985.

In the, Teen Wolf was a huge hit for Atlantic Releasing Corporation, and immediately became a classic of pop culture history. Today, the film is regarded by most critics as a cult classic and a source of camp humour.

Here are some classic clips for you to enjoy and laugh about...
