Big Momma’s House 3 is coming!!

Variety reports that Brandon T. Jackson has joined the cast of Big Momma's House 3 alongside Martin Lawrence. Check the synopsis:

This time Big Momma (Lawrence, of course) and his nephew Trent (Jackson, presumably) must go undercover at an all-girls school after Trent witnesses a murder. But, of course, the murderers are hot on their tail. Doing the directing duties will be John Whitesell, who also directed the second film as well as Deck The Halls.

Whereas Big Momma’s House 2 was more like a Mrs. Doubtfire knockoff, the third film seems to be going after Sister Act– all that’s missing now is Maggie Smith as the imperious principal of the girl’s school. Don’t think they won’t try either.

This should be interesting...hmmm

This movie is a remake of a 2007 movie of the same name, Death at a Funeral (2007). Although Hollywood has a history of making American versions of foreign films, the original versions are usually in a language other than English. This is not the case here, however, since the original film was a British production and filmed in English, with an American director (who was, as it happens, born in England) and several American actors (including Peter Dinklage, who repeats his role in the remake). This is a very unusual case of a remake being made very quickly of an English-language movie that had a theatrical release in the US (albeit not a very successful one) (IMDB)

It stars Chris Rock (who also co-wrote it), Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, Loretta Devine, Ron Glass, Danny Glover, Regina Hall, James Marsden, Zoe Saldana, Columbus Short, Luke Wilson, and Kevin Hart.

Set to hit theaters April 16th, 2010.

Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence Team up!!

Well say it ain't so...Screen Gems has acquired Sheneneh and Wanda, the movie featuring Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence’s characters they made on their respective shows (Martin and In Living Color).

If you remember the trailer that Jamie and Martin showed during the BET Awards for something they threw together called “Skanks and Robbers” it will actually lead to something BIG. WOW!! I can't wait!

Bad Boys 3 is Planned...But No Smith or Lawrence yet...

I had always enjoyed the Bad Boys series so when I heard the news of a possible third installment, I kinda got a little excited. And notice I say a little because director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have not yet confirmed. And when it boils down all four of them are the key elements to making another successful Bad Boys film!

All parties have expressed a willingness to return if a story can be hammered out, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The first "Boys," released in 1995, helped launch Bay as a director and Smith as an action star. Even though it was not considered a blockbuster, it grossed $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide. The sequel, released in 2003 when Bay and Smith's stars had risen, grossed $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide.
