New Additions to the "Dark Knight Rises" cast...

So early this year the third and final Batman installment Dark Knight Rises revealed its cast, and the most important character that we were waiting on was whether the Joker would return. Well instead of the Joker, there is a new sheriff in town, Bane, who is to be played by Tom Hardy (Inception). Bane is said to be one of Batman's most dangerous enemy.

Director Christopher Nolan had added a few more tricks up his sleeve with the addition of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Alberto Falcone, and the latest addition The Social Network's Josh Pence (the other Winklevoss twin) who will play the younger version of Ra's Al Ghul, the character Liam Neeson played in Batman Begins. And then we have two folks in the rumor mill Juno Temple and Marion Cotillard, no news yet on their roles if any.

And of course we have our "regulars" who will be returning, Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gary Oldham (Jim Gordon), Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), Micheal Caine (Alfred), and even Katie Holmes (Elaine Dawes).

Filming is scheduled to begin this May and finish in November, about 4-6 weeks will take place in Pittsburgh, PA.


Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters July 20th, 2012.
