New "X-Men" could be filmed in Savannah Area*

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the new "X-Men" film may be filming within the Savannah, GA area.

Producers of X-Men: First Class say they're considering locations on Tybee Island, Thunderbolt and Savannah.

Jay Self, the city of Savannah's director of Tourism and Film Services, says the production company is applying for permits and making other preparations in the area. Creative decisions, meanwhile, are pending. It would be the third major studio shoot since June 2009, if Savannah is able to capture the "X-Men" film.

New Folks Added to 'X-Men:First Class'

Well I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree as it pertains to Zoe Kravitz. Daughter of rocker and 'Precious' star Lenny Kravitz and 'Cosby Show' actress Lisa Bonet, has been chosen to play Angel in the upcoming comic book film, X-Men: First Class.

In a surprising casting move, she will play Angel who if you remembered and saw the last of the original X-Men trilogy, X-Men: The Last Stand is a white male and was played by Ben Foster in the third film.

According to Screenrant.com, "Angel is a character we thought for sure had no chance of being in the film ('First Class') since he was introduced in' X-Men 3' as someone with no prior knowledge or ties with the X-Men. If you're keeping track, the 'X-Men: First Class' movie currently only sits with two of the five actual original characters from Marvel Comics canon and one arguably shouldn't be there. That being said, this clearly isn't the same Angel we know but instead, the character known as Angel Salvadore."

And check this out, the 21 year-old Kravitz was dating Foster back in 2008.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto. It starts when they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

'X-Men: First Class' Director Changes Movie Because Of 'Inception'

Now who would have saw this coming possibly Professor X...just maybe. With Inception blazing the Hollywood charts as the number one film for the past three weeks, who would have thought it would effect a future film in such a huge way.

According to X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn, a recent viewing of the blockbuster Christopher Nolan film forced him to change his own movie because of similarities to Inception's surreal, zero-gravity, rotating-room fight scenes. Vaughn explained his changes to the L.A. Times: "I saw Inception, which I loved, but my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it's either leave it in and look as if you're copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and the storyboards."

I gotta hand it to him, that was very big of him to revamp his material, at least he is trying to be original and be authentic as possible, versus taking the easy route and giving the impression of borrowing material.
