Berry will star in director Paul Verhoeven's new film, The Surrogate, which revolves around a couple who hire a surrogate to carry their child and find out mid-term that she's mad, reported contactmusic.com.The project will mark Berry's first film since 2007's Perfect Stranger, in which she starred opposite Bruce Willis.
I guess she feels ready to come back to the big screen. Good for her!
It's my opinion that Ms. Berry hasn't been in a good movie since 'Monster's Ball' and despite how her and Billy Bob got down, I still liked the movie and it was one of her best performances. Sure she's been great in the X-Men movies as well, but her best work came in the 90's. Hopefully this new thriller will put her back on the map.
